Why We Choose a Direct Pressure Blast Cabinet?

Pressure blast cabinets delivered a high speed, direct pressure stream of grit at a surface of a component. This provides both the power & speed needed for grit blasting & removing loose particles on coatings. You can quickly strip away heavy layers of paint, scale, carbon & corrosion from a surface using a sandblasting cabinet. The pressure blast cabinets are much faster than suction blasting cabinets when blasting at less pressure.

Direct Pressure Blasting v/s Suction Blasting

Both systems (suction blasting cabinets) and pressure blast cabinet force grit through a blasting nozzle. Sandblasting cabinets use a pressure vessel, where grit and compressed air are mixed. This is forced out through the sandblasting nozzle.

Suction blasting cabinets use compressed air fed to a Y gun to suck grit through a separate hose. Grit is mixed in the Y Gun and forced out through a sandblasting nozzle. The Gun is able to suck the grit through the suction blast hose by accelerating compressed air creating a vacuum.

Suction blasting cabinets generally low cost to purchase & set up, but have lower productivity than a pressure blast cabinet. Pressure blast cabinets use more air and more CFM, but increase more cleaning rate. As blasting and stripping are more aggressive. With pressure blast cabinets, you will have to replace parts like the sand blasting nozzle more frequently. As they wear out a bit quicker.

Another advantage of Sandblasting cabinet is that you will be able to use heavier grit than in a blasting cabinet.
