The Sand Blasting Machine is used to clean and smooth the surface of any material, mainly for the metallic surface. Machines are mainly completely satisfying for the removal of rust which causes surface damage.

Description of Sand Blasting Machine:

Sand blasting Cabinet shall consist of the following major items:

Blast Cabinet: Sand blasting cabinet shall be a closed-loop system that shall allow the operator to blast and recycle the abrasive (sand). This blast cabinet consists of mainly the following components. Cabinet shall be a closed chamber in which the operator blasts the contact sleeves/connection clamp arrangement from outside by placing his arms in gloves attached to glove holes on the cabinet. For viewing the job a view window will be provided on the cabinet. A suitable light arrangement inside a cabinet should be provided for viewing the job during operation. Provision for turning the blast on and off should be provided using a foot pedal or treadle.

The sand blasting system: Suitable Sand blasting Machine shall be provided for proper traveling of sand particles through a nozzle that directs the particles towards the surface of the work-piece. Speed of sand particles traveling through the nozzle should be kept such as to clean the workpiece surface with finish/roughness.

• Size:- 0.15-0.25 mm
• Hardness:- 515 Kg/mm2 (Knoop)
• Density:- 2.5 g/cm3
• Specific Gravity:- 2.45-2.50.

The sand recycling system: Suitable arrangement shall be provided for reusing the sand after its blasting on the contact sleeve/connection clamp.

Side Doors:- The side doors of the Sand blasting cabinet shall consist of a rectangular cut-out with removable covers for insertion of the Stator winding bar into the Sand blast Cabinet. The dimension of cut out shall be 450X450 mm (approx.) at a suitable place on the doors so as to insert a stator winding bar inside the cabinet with ease for contact sleeve/connection clamp cleaning. Suitable arrangements for covering the cut-out should be provided during operation.

Note: -

• Stator winding bars are of complex contour.
• Stator winding bar once inserted in the machine cannot be moved. The nozzle should be a maneuver to sandblast the stationary contact sleeve/correction clamps.

Dust Collector: Suitable capacity and reputed make dust collector complete with 5.5 meters. A long flexible hose and collection Sand blasting nozzle, shall be provided for effective extraction and collection of a sand dust particle.
